Mímir is a Giant/God from Norse mythology renowned for his wisdom. He resided at Mímisbrunnr, the fountain of knowledge. Beheaded during the Great War between the Æsir and Vanir, Odin preserved his head so that he could continue to ask for his counsel during times of need. He represents ancestral knowledge and wisdom.
